Close to Quarter of Million Bulgarians  Watch Star Wars: The Force Awakens in Nine Days

Sofia, December 28 (BTA) - Close to a quarter of a million Bulgarians have seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens in the first nine days after its Bulgarian release, according to box office statistics. During its second weekend - which was also the weekend of Christmas - the film netted the record-setting 2.5 million leva in revenue from over 230,000 tickets.

This is also the film which crossed the 2-million leva mark the fastest: for nine days, the distributors said.

The second weekend added over 700,000 leva to the box office with close to 65,000 viewers in the cinemas across the country.
