Environment Ministry Replaces
Directors of Pirin and Rila
National Parks


Sofia, March 2 (BTA) - The directors of two of the three national parks in Bulgaria, Pirin and Rila, have been replaced by a decision of the Minister of Environment and Water. This was confirmed to BTA on Wednesday by the Ministry press centre.

Valeri Mechev will temporarily lead Pirin National Park instead of Rosen Banenski, and Vladimir Milushev will replace Krassimir Andonov at the head of Rila National Rark, until permanent replacements are appointed after a competitive procedure.

The Enviornment Ministry press centre did not confirm press reports that the director of the Central Balkan National Park has been replaced as well.//
