Foreign Ministry Denies Reports about Bulgarian Arrested in Yemen

Sofia, January 4 (BTA) - The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry on
Sunday denied media reports that a Bulgarian has been arrested
in Yemen's capital Sanaa.

The interim chief of mission at the Bulgarian Embassy in Sanaa
visited the police station in the city's Sabayin Precinct and
talked with the chief officer, who categorically denied the
media allegations, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said.
Assurances to this effect were also given by special services
and by Yemen's Interior Ministry.

On Saturday, Bulgarian media said that a Bulgarian has been
arrested in Yemen along with two other people on suspicion of
terrorism. They were quoting the Reuters news agency, which had
cited information from the Interior Ministry of Yemen.
