Vratsa, Northwest Bulgaria, April 21 (BTA) - The Kozloduy N-plant's Unit 5 was shut off at 2:11 am on Saturday for its scheduled annual maintenance, the N-plant reported.

The maintenance works, which are scheduled to be completed by the end of May, should ensure the 1,000 MW nuclear facility's a safe, reliable and efficient utilization.

The N-plant's Unit 6 is operating at a 104 per cent load after a project for increasing its power was completed, the N-plant further said. The two Units have produced 4,543,511 MWh of electrical energy in the first quarter of 2018, while complying with all safety regulations.
