Tatyana Doncheva, Mincho Spassov Join Presidential Race

Sofia, September 8 (BTA) - A coalition made up of Movement 21 and the National Movement for Stability and Progress (NMSP) has nominated Tatyana Doncheva and Mincho Spassov as its candidates for president and vice president for the November 6 election.

Doncheva said: "We stand for a cause. Our opponent are Bulgaria's problems. This country needs proven leaders, not another extempore performance."

Law professor Kamelia Kasabova chairs the committee supporting the candidates. Its members are public figures including a mezzo-soprano, academics, film and theatre directors.
