General Labour Inspectorate Launches Large-scale Checks in Farming
Sofia, May 14 (BTA) - The General Labour Inspectorate (GIT) launches large-scale checks on June 1 about the presence of contracts of employment when hiring farm workers, and about ensuring proper health and safety at work in farming, GIT said in a press release.
In 2015 GIT conducted 2,600 checks in farming which uncovered nearly 10,300 irregularities, the most common among which was connected with failure to meet the requirements about signing a written contract with the worker and registering the document with the National Revenue Agency.
In 2015 GIT conducted 1,600 checks in farming which uncovered 7,700 irregularities.
