Aleksandar Boricic Elected President of European Volleyball Confederation

Sofia, October 17 (BTA) - Serbia's Aleksandar Boricic was elected President of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) during the CEV General Assembly in Sofia Saturday. His four-year term expires in 2019.

Boricic, 67, was CEV Senior Vice President until now. He earned 31 votes from a total of 55 national volleyball federations. His opponent in the election, the outgoing CEV President Andre Meyer, won 21 votes. The remaining three votes were invalid.
