Bread Wheat Harvest in Dobrich Region Better than Last Year's

Dobrich, Northeastern Bulgaria, August 5 (BTA) - Grain producers
 in the Dobrich Region, dubbed as Bulgaria's breadbasket,
harvested a better wheat harvest than last year: 643,401 t this
year against 592,272 t in 2014, the local farming service said
after the end of the harvesting campaign.

The average yield this year is 5,370 kg/ha, against 4,810 kg/ha
in 2014. This year's highest yields were in Balchik, 5,740
kg/ha, Dobrich, 5,680 kg/ha, and General Tosheva, 5,650 kg/ha.

More than 400 combine harvesters were used in the harvesting
campaign.
