Socialists Refer Government Debt Ratification to Constitutional Court

Sofia, June 24 (BTA) - The BSP-Left Bulgaria parliamentary group
Wednesday referred to the Constitutional Court the National
Assembly's ratification of the 16 billion leva government debt
agreement, the coalition said in a press release.

Parliament ratified the agreement on Bulgaria's new external
debt in February.

The Left wing did not give up on its attempts to collect the
necessary 48 signatures for the referral and thus fulfilled its
promise to the Bulgarian citizens to protect their interest, the
press release reads. After long months of efforts on the part
of BSP-Left Bulgaria and with the support of MPs of ABV, the
signatures were collected.
