May Unemployment at  10.1%

Sofia, June 14 (BTA) - The unemployment rate in May dropped by 0.6 percentage points to 10.1 per cent. Compared to May 2014, the unemployment rate has decreased significantly by 1.1 percentage points, the Employment Agency said in a press release Monday.


A total of 331,846 unemployed persons were registered in labour
offices in May 2015, 18,472 fewer than in April. Compared to a
year earlier, people who found work increased by 637.

Labour offices advertised 19,153 jobs in the real economy, which
is 1,518 less than in April and 2,241 more than last May. The
private sector announced 12,013 vacancies.

The greatest number of vacancies on the primary market in labour
offices are announced by employers in seasonally dependent
activities: 4,441 jobs in the processing industry and 2,762 jobs
in hotel and restaurant work. Next come vacancies in the state
administration, 2,434, farming and fisheries, 1,349,
construction, 917, transport, warehousing and posts, 823, and
real estate work, 822.
