Court Returns Indictment against Ex-Deputy Parliament Chairman Bisserov

Sofia, May 5 (BTA) - The Sofia City Court said on Tuesday it has
returned to the Sofia City Prosecution Office an indictment
against former deputy Parliament chairman and former Legal
Affairs Committee chairman Hristo Bisserov. The court required
the prosecutors to do away with inconsistencies in the factual
part of the indictment. The requirement is appealable before the
Sofia Appellate Court within seven days.

The indictment against Bisserov was filed almost a month ago on
three counts: tax evasion in a particularly large amount,
failure to report currency transactions in violation of the
Foreign Exchange Act, and filing a false financial statement
with the National Audit Office as a senior official.
