Prosecutor General Moves for Suspension of Pleven  District Prosecutor

Sofia, April 29 (BTA) - Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov has
moved for the suspension of Pleven, Northern Bulgaria, District
Prosecutor Ivo Radev, Tsatsarov's office said Wednesday.

The motion to the Supreme Judicial Council came a week after
Radev was charged with trying to induce a prosecutor under him
to drop a legitimate demand against a man facing multiple prison
sentences.

Radev was released on a 3,000 leva bail.

This is the second legal case against a magistrate since an
anticorruption unit began functioning under the Prosecutor
General at the beginning of April.
