Business Climate in Industry, Service Sector Improves in March 2015 M/M
Sofia, March 27 (BTA) - In March 2015, the total business
climate indicator increased by 0.9 percentage points from its
February level, due to the improved business climate in industry
and the service sector, the National Statistical Institute said
Friday.
The business climate in industry composite indicator increased
by 2.3 percentage points in March month-on-month, which is the
result of entrepreneurs' more favourable assessments and
expectations about the state of enterprises. However, the
present production activity is assessed as slightly lower and
the expectations about the
activity over the next three months are also more reserved.
The business climate in construction composite indicator
decreased by 3.6 percentage points due to the shifting of the
construction entrepreneurs' assessments about the business
situation of the enterprises from "good" towards "satisfactory",
which is normal for the season. However, their expectations
both about the business situations of the enterprises over the
next six months and the construction activity over the next
three months are more favourable.
The business climate in retail trade composite indicator dropped
by 1 percentage point in March compared to February 2015, which
is the result of retailers' more moderate assessments about the
present business situation of enterprises. However, their
forecasts about the development of the business situation over
the next six months are more positive and their expectations
about the volume of sales over the next three months are also
more favourable.
The business climate in services composite indicator increased
by 4.4 percentage points mostly due to the managers' improved
expectations about the state of enterprises in the next six
months. However, their opinions as regards the present and the
expected demand for services are more reserved, the press
release reads.
