First Super Giant Slalom of
Alpine Skiing World Cup Women's
Championships in Bansko Postponed


Bansko, Southwestern Bulgaria, February 27 (BTA) - The first
super giant slalom of the FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup Women's
Championships in Bansko was postponed to March 1 due to fog, the
organizers said Friday.

The event was initially scheduled to take place in Austria in
January but was moved to Bulgaria due to the unfavourable
weather conditions in Bad Kleinkirchheim.

Two events from the FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup were scheduled
for the weekend in Bankso: super giant slalom on Saturday and
alpine combined on Sunday.
