Prosecution Accuses Judge Nikolay Stefanov from Rousse Regional Court of Bribery

Sofia, February 15 (BTA) - The prosecuting magistracy has
accused judge Nikolay Stefanov from the Regional Court in Rousse
(on the Danube) of bribery, the institution said in a press
release Sunday.

The investigation is carried out by the State Agency for
National Security and the Specialised Unit for Countering Crimes
Committed by Magistrates.

A prosecutor of the Specialised Unit has ordered judge
Stefanov's detention for 72 hours. The prosecution will request
that Stefanov remain in custody.
