In March 2024, the number of trips of Bulgarians abroad was 679,100 or 19.1% more year-on-year, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) reported on Monday. The number of visits of non-residents to Bulgaria was 756,500 or 7.2% more in comparison with the same month of the previous year.

Burgas Airport Expects Single-Digit Increase in Passenger Numbers in 2024
Burgas Airport expects a single-digit increase in the number of passengers served this year, said Ivo Barzov, expert from the Aviation Marketing department at the airport, during a meeting with the tourist industry in Pomorie. Barzov said that an increase of more than 10% in the number of passengers served is expected from the markets of Poland and Great Britain. Bulgarian high school students won a full set of medals at the 58th International Mendeleev Olympiad in chemistry in Shenzhen, China, the Education Ministry said on its website on Tuesday. The Bulgarians won with 151 students from 26 countries.

At the BTA National Press Club here on Monday, the Bulgarian News Agency and the Lyubomir Pipkov National School of Music signed a long-term cooperation agreement. The agreement was signed on the eve of the 120th anniversary of the establishment of the school and the 120th anniversary of the birth of the school's patron – Bulgarian composer Lyubomir Pipkov. The document was signed by the school’s Director Stolina Dobreva and BTA Director General Kiril Valchev.
